MISSION POST - OCTOBER

MISSION POST - OCTOBER
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation
The following missions are available for the month of October. We will open official sign-ups on October 1st, but we will hold slots for interested parties in the OOC discussion for 24 hours.
Keep in mind that these dates are IC first - players are welcome to backdate or forward-date missions as they see fit.
Witch of the Garden (October 7th)
2/2 Faculty: Avery Atchison (
6/6 Students: Tamaki Suou (
A small village near Ayr, Scotland has been reporting mysterious disappearances of young men as well as the depletion of local pumpkin crops, prompting an investigation of the area by Daybreak. Those who are assigned to this task will need to scour the surrounding area for who or what is behind this rather bizarre combination of disappearances.
Graveyard Smash (October 12th)
2/2 Faculty: Avery Atchison (
5/6 Students: Leonardo (
There have been reports of mysterious lights in the night coming from a dilapidated church said to have been struck by a great tragedy and abandoned decades past.. Local spirits around the area feel oddly drawn to gather to the location, and lately strange cries and noises have been heard issuing from the old graveyard attached to it. Staff and students are tasked with investigating the church, uncovering whatever or whoever is using it for nefarious purposes, and stopping them from going further.
Monster Mash (October 17th)
Faculty 1/2: Moriarty (
Students 7/8 HARD CAP REACHED: Grimm (
A rare artifact exists in the annals of legend - a magical, shapeshifting item that takes whatever form the wielder desires, allowing them to animate and control the dead in whatever manner they see fit. In exchange, it feeds off the wielder’s life force, and when the wielder dies, they give power to the artifact, making it stronger for as yet unknown purposes.
Now, the artifact has resurfaced from obscurity - held by a musician-turned-necromancer who plans to subvert the artifact’s life draining effects by targeting a large crowd of people to sacrifice in his stead, framing the event as a Halloween-themed concert. Faculty and students are tasked with infiltrating his show, finding some way of retrieving the artifact and neutralizing the necromancer before it can be used to harvest the souls of the living.
Hallow’s Eve Dance (Open to All) October 31st
As school gets underway, the newly elected Student Council is called to their first assignment - planning the first dance of the year. Since themes and activities are based on the decisions of the current Student Council, more information will be forthcoming later on in the month.
Faculty-run Events
Mini-prompts that can be incorporated into catchall logs, or made into logs of their own. These prompts count for faculty log AC as long as at least one faculty member is running it, though they can also be joint logs.
Defense Meeting
1/2 Faculty: Ky Kiske (
In light of recent incidents, many of them mind-altering in some way, a proposal for a faculty meeting to improve and strengthen the wards and other defensive systems throughout the Academy has come through. Those faculty leading the meeting will be responsible for arranging time and location.
Faculty Haunted House
3/5 Faculty: Valvatorez (
As Halloween approaches, Daybreak has secured permission for the faculty to come together and plan a haunted house for students and visitors in Soleil’s amusement park. Whether you’ve decided to take a strictly supervisory role, have plans to feature yourself as one of the scares, or are pushing your fellow staff members into being some of the scares...it’s up to you. The Academy gently reminds you that there should be nothing too dangerous.
Halloween Fairground (0/2 Faculty)
Well, someone needs to plan (and run, and decorate...) all those stalls and games for Halloween. Faculty taking up this task will be given a sizeable amount of room on campus to allot to students and organize events, games and other things as they see fit.
Faculty Games Night: October
1/2 Faculty: Jailbreak (
Turns out it’s not only the kids who like those new-fangled video games. Though tabletop and board games are perfectly fine, too. The theme of this particular night, should you choose to host it, is horror.
This can be combined with another appropriate prompt, if you choose to do so.
Faculty Night (0/2 Faculty)
Remember that time everyone went out to a karaoke bar and got drunk? It’s that, except it’s in the better bar this time. Bring your own entertainment, but at least the drinks are good.
This can be combined with another appropriate prompt, if you choose to do so.
