CASSANDRA UPLOAD - JANUARY

CASSANDRA UPLOAD - JANUARY
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation
All Seers are required to report to the Citadel on the 15th of every month to upload their visions into the system. Based on the visions of all contributing Seers, Cassandra will hone, refine and extrapolate to give as clear a prediction as possible of upcoming events. This is mandatory for every student blessed with the Sight and aware of their powers. The upload requires students to stand in a metal tube for about 15 minutes. Cookies and juice are provided after the upload. Students who attempt to shirk their duty will be recovered by the Golems. These students do not get cookies and juice.
All seers will have a vision shrouded in darkness of an imposing visage staring you down. For those sensitive to the musical sounds of the world, it is accompanied by an ominous dirge as it speaks in a deep, resounding baritone:
You who lay broken before the radiant light
Is it power you seek?
Be blessed by my hand
Darker than the blackest night, unquenchable as an all consuming flame
Rise again and tear down these impure fools who dare lay claim to this world!
This will account for approximately 20 percent of all visions.
JANUARY EVENTS & MISSIONS
Feast of St Valentine’s (February 14th)
Once again, it’s time for Daybreak’s annual Valentine’s celebration. With no daemons predicted to be crashing the party - unlike last year - the school administration calls upon the current student council to organize themes, food and entertainment as they see fit for the upcoming Valentine’s Day ball.
The Last Bastions (February 19th)
As construction of the Bowman Bastion is nearing completion, the US Government has requested a large shipment of Mythril and Orihalcum from the Outlands to finish the shell. Daybreak views this as a perfect opportunity for some of the student body to view the efforts to defend humanity as Nightfall approaches, and for faculty and more experienced students alike to add some extra fortification that the government may have missed. This event will be open to all students and faculty who wish to attend.
Paranormal Investigations (February 23rd)
For those students and staff uninterested in construction work or normal classes, several locations around the world have reported paranormal outbreaks that have seen particular interest from self-professed ghost hunters. Students and faculty will be granted permission to visit those locations and serve various roles, whether as experts, witnesses, or fellow ghost hunters, with the express goal of keeping such people away from any real danger and metaphorically in the dark.
Or, well, scaring or pranking them so badly that they never want to trifle with such things again...but nobody would do that, right?
The Cruise Liner of Pride
An evil and well connected mage is trying to sabotage Daybreak in hopes of usurping its role in stopping Nightfall. In order to put a stop to his efforts, the school has authorized a small group of students and faculty to discretely retaliate.
This event is a player plot. The information for this event is here.
