Player Plot - Forget You
As mentioned a million times on plurk and seen by those following along with Héctor's story in Daybreak, the monthly revivals have reached their end. Héctor will be having some revelations about the nature of his death, as well, some very curious things have been going on in the background.
What does this mean for those without CR with him? Not a whole lot, truthfully, and thus you are free from reading on! Congratulations! On the other hand, if your characters DO have CR...
Well...
Forget You will begin in June/July and carry into the end of September/early October. Due to a certain deal made with a daemon servant of Ultultar, someone has gained the ability to erase just one person and that person is Héctor Rivera.
In June, it will begin with NPCs; faculty will conveniently forget this guy works here, his outland family will say "who??", people who have met him and otherwise moved on with their lives will cease to have this guy at all on their radar. Papers with his name on it may seem indistinct, photos might (if deemed unimportant enough) simply vanish. Gifts will stop being associated with the man.
Into July, this will start affecting his CR proper. Characters may remember actions and influences but may have trouble remembering him if he's not actively around or if there isn't something specific jogging the memory. They may even start to wonder why they were influenced whatever way, if they were at all. And it's around this point (approximately) that, for mysterious reasons, Héctor himself will vanish.
Into August, his daughter, Coco, will be making an appearance as an NPC at the school itself. Will you help the girl with her very strange and confusing requests? Ignore her? Be jolted into terrible recollection? Or maybe you'd just like to invite her along to that cool show you may or may not have been given tickets to. Character depending, there will be a rescue in October (OOCly, early in the month, ICly, Día de Muertos).
This is all a heads up to CR! It's a chance to plan and plot and break some hearts (though there's no need to sign up for anything yet as that will come later). Finally, if this is a topic that deeply bothers you and is something you'd rather avoid altogether, feel free to opt-out and/or hash it out here.
This is a very, very indulgent plot but one I've been building up to for a long time. I hope others will find some fun in it too.
