Something Chained
Due to the Academy’s interference in a highly valuable power source, Utultar has ceased terrorizing human and Outlands outposts for the time being in order to attempt to bring things under control again. While the fae creature currently in Utultar’s captivity was not freed, being fed fresh stories seems to have empowered it somewhat, resulting in the Herald’s distraction.

Stolen Marks
The recent spate of Marked people have more than just a sudden onset of new powers to contend with - a cabal has been systematically targeting them. At least twenty known Marked have gone missing in the past month. Some investigations have brought some leads into the incident, and those currently investigating the case believe that they are the work of some supernatural organisation.

A Stolen Piece from the Past
The excavation in Lebanon turned up empty-handed, as it seemed someone has beaten Daybreak to the site quite recently and removed something known as a “Gear” from the hidden trove, while leaving several artifacts of archeological and monetary value behind. Clearly, the perpetrators knew what they were aiming for.

Sky High Anomalies
Reports from amateur birdwatchers in a certain part of France have alerted wildlife authorities about a decidedly out of place redtailed hawk soaring the skies. Believed to be an escaped, illegal pet of some kind, a spokesperson has assured local news that they’ll capture it and return it to its rightful home in North America.

The Magic Continues
Ernesto de la Cruz’s tour is doing well, despite the sudden scandalous rumours that began to bloom while he was in the town of Soleil for filming. His charisma and talent seems to be immune to such ugly reports, and entertainment reporters seem certain that the whole thing was simply a ploy to take advantage of his fame and fortune.

Visions of Dawn
Seers that stay in touch with the Academy and other affiliated schools and organisations around the world have reported consistent visions of the sun rising and driving back the darkness, as well as a feeling of hope and great change. This is viewed as a good omen for the struggle against Nightfall, though some have reported that it may be a more metaphorical symbolism that represents the sudden dissipation of the Veil, the enforced masquerade that keeps the magical world separated from humankind.
