Crowning Achievements Plotting post
Part plotting post, part info gathering, here's the bare bones information to know here.
Shackles
The shackles as a magical artifact take the suffering of those locked into them and transform it into magical power, which is transferred to the owner of the crown.
As a regular old museum artifact, they were said to have been in better condition than the other shackles found in what was presumed to be a dungeon or jail.
Crown:
The crown displayed in the museum is small and simple, made of worn, dented gold. Though the fake that's been brought in to replace the artifact matches it exactly, this is not the crown the mission party is looking for, which is something Avery himself will confirm the second he lays eyes on it.
That said, he has no qualms about letting you keep the crown if you swap it for the fake. He won't tell.
Format
Please let me know how you'd like this formatted! I can make several prompts we can reply to in order, have people top level, a mix of both, whatever.
Other Artifacts, Paintings, Displays, etc.
Please see the comments!

Per mods, here are some other things to take note of:
The security system is super high tech and there will be guards around! Feel free to play around with these in how high tech and how many guards. The museum is used to getting broken into during exhibit openings, so they were ready.
You know who wasn't ready? These four highly trained mages who have also snuck into the museum to steal shit. They've got a list of things they want to get for the family who hired them and the crown and shackles are on it. You might have to fight them for any other bonus items you want to appropriate, too.

Located close to the target artifacts, this painting depicts a couple sitting next to one another in a drawing room, holding hands. While they wear the neutral expressions typical of paintings of the era, they wear the faintest hint of a loving smile.
The man in the portrait looks exactly like Avery, though with brown hair and eyes and more human features. He wears a crown exactly like the supposed target.
The woman sports long, blonde hair and green eyes. She is also wearing a crown.

I figure Maya's going to be casing the museum, sensing for anything out of the ordinary. With her stealth suit+cameras for use in the heist. Maya's powerset is kinda good for this mission.
She doesn't want any of the swag unless someone writes up a cool magical musical instrument. She's just doing the job.

Turns out, the runic relic only reacts to certain people, with certain powers. So while the historical documentation and mythology may have said they were a gift from Mercury to humankind, their original human created purpose was different. They were created by an ancient (and hubris-filled) mage and runic inscriptionist who fancied himself a son of Jupiter, first of all. These winged boots react only to possess the power of the head Roman God himself: lightning, which is why their true power went undiscovered for so long. The boots themselves grant the power of mid-air agility, notably, the ability to double or even triple jump, and air-dash short distances.
Naturally, they'll react to Gunvolt specifically thanks to his natural predilection toward lightning, and once he discovers they're magical, he'd be for recovering them for Daybreak. Afterward, he'd likely study them, and duplicate the magical runes into his own equipment, while handing the original article over to Daybreak's vaults.
Anyone who wants to help set up where these things might be located, and the difficulty of extracting them, I'd be all for it. Ridiculous and elaborate methods requiring more than one person are more than welcome because what's a heist without it?

He will also knock out guards if the need arises, but generally he's happy to hang back and supervise.
for formatting: a mix of both sounds good to me honestly! if you want we can use prompts to mark the passage of time as well

Clearly, it deserves a better home and purpose than this... Also Puella doesn't have a clue why this hourglass even exists, when she thought that it was only a weird family thing.

Also it'll mean that she can see through glamours again. ...Sorry to the resident skeletons.

....I feel like I need to have MGS get referenced in character by GV telling Puella that she's pretty good. :V

I'm not always very good at planning things... Anyone else have ideas about what he could do?

The second he lays eyes on those shackles he is NOT going to be a happy camper. So... he may need someone to help keep him from doing anything drastic.

Overall, in regards to the mission, other than the single item he's going to want to pilfer due to its magical (and therefore sensitive) nature, he's going to be on point and professional about getting the job done. The major articles as outlined in the briefing come first, anything magical is secondary, and nabbing anything else is a waste of time.
He'll probably be with Ekkehardt in telling people not to steal the whole museum because anything mundane and non-mission related isn't their business to take.

It's currently in storage so some experts can make sure it's real, because really it shouldn't be around. It's definitely magic. Not radiating a lot of power but enough for anyone to notice. Touching it makes the air smell like it's about to rain.

Formatting wise, I think a mix would be best. Some split-offs and the like, especially since we're a big group with lots of plans and big group threads can be slower (or I could miss a whole bunch during the day if it goes faster haha).

And also, if possible, he's going to take and hide the painting before too many see it.

I could always have her hide in a cardboard box at some point.no subject
Regarding the theft itself...
