The Ongoing Adventures of Florida Mage August 8th

There’s been reports of Reptiles of Unusual Size in the Everglades of florida, and after the disappearance of a few tourists and poachers it becomes apparent that the culprits weren’t just ordinary but oversized alligators, but magically mutated specimens - all of them nearly doubling their size and several of them capable of bipedal motion and capable of startling cunning schemes.

The assignment is simple: Eliminate the mutated gators and discover the source of their sudden appearance. But as they say, it’s easier said than done.

The party scene of Miami is a chaotic and profitable venture - and it’s not just the mortal club owners and celebrities looking for a piece of the pie. Three factions of vampires have been squaring off for the last several months and are on the verge of outright war over territory; as the Academy was already in the area, they’ve been requested to send a diplomatic party to keep blood from being spilled.

Faculty and Students will be given dossiers from interested third-parties on the varying factions, with the understanding that they simply seek to avert the war in a quiet manner - how the squad will do it is up to their discretion.

The same museum not-so-recently visited by the Daybreak team has announced a unique and fantastic addition to their newest exhibit - a painting of two forgotten rulers, recently restored to full glory. Only a day or so after this announcement, the surrounding area will report a strange phenomenon - even in the middle of summer, the museum is cooling down rapidly.

The emergence of a shadowy, malevolent figure happens not long after, and with it, the temperature drops to freezing, the museum becomes encased in ice, and out-of-season snow begins to fall. The few reports from victims who survived the initial attack report that the figure is wearing a crown, and is insistent on claiming one particular exhibit. The Academy has dispatched a team with instructions to stop the entity as soon as possible, before it freezes the entire town and results in more loss of life.

Grim Tidings August 27th
Open to All Characters
The Seers have predicted a force of strange beasts sent against Daybreak - a necromancer’s retribution for an attack by several Daybreak students. This force will consist of Grimm - creatures attracted to negative emotions that attack humans indiscriminately - and one dominant leader, the Leviathan Grimm, which will be predominantly attracted to attacking the four students responsible for intruding on its master.

Though Daybreak’s wards and shields are usually enough to deter determined attackers, the Seers see it as an opportunity to weaken this necromancer’s forces - as well as serve as a reminder of why unplanned, unprepared attacks often go awry - so all willing students and staff are called upon to defend the school against this invasion.

Those choosing to fight will be given access to weapons and equipment to help them do so.
