daybreakooc | Player Plot: The Thrill of the Hunt

Hi everyone! Your friendly neighborhood wildcard player Pearl here, bringing you a two-for-one player plot, run by myself and Void. That's right, we're not just covering Persona 3 here, but this log will be featuring the first in a series of original palaces designed for the game.

It's said that some live for the high that they get from taking down prey that is bigger and stronger than them. But for a pair of Mages, hunting wild and exotic beasts has lost its novelty. Perhaps that is why they have set their sights on something smarter; something with a little more humanity. Because there's no greater high than besting something at the top of the food chain—and making them beg for mercy first.

Beginning in late September, there has been a steady increase of apparent, unexplained homicides in a number of small towns in the United Kingdom. While authorities state that there is nothing tying the murder victims to one another, citizens around the area recall seeing a strange mist roll through. Some even recount hearing the sound of music in the distance, although they can't seem to recall where it's coming from. Maybe it's just their imagination; after all, there aren't any carnivals or amusement parks nearby.

But strange things are said to happen in the light of the Full Moon, and as the Outland mists start to roll in, a ghastly amusement park springs forth, filled with rides and attractions that will make your heart race and even the bravest of souls quake in terror. But don't scream, because there's someone sinister lurking within. And something as well.

The plot itself will involve both a brief palace exploration portion, as well as combat. There will be 5 slots available for this player plot mission. However, if we find that there is enough interest, we will run two groups—a palace exploration and a combat group. A teacher/TA/Grad isn't required for this, as IC plotting will be spread through word of mouth by the Phantom Thieves. That doesn't mean that the faculty won't necessarily hear about it. ICly, this event will take place on October 13th.

Due to the canon and some of the imagery associated with it, I ask that you please read and comment to Minako's permission post before signing up and/or expressing interest.
