EVENT PLOTTING - TO CRAFT THE NIGHT

EVENT PLOTTING - TO CRAFT THE NIGHT
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation
The second Herald mission will begin shortly. This Herald’s nature is quite a bit different from that of the dread lich Xelvak. Unnamed and unformed, this Herald’s “life” has not yet truly begun - a creation of fell magicks combined with pieces from unknown and unknowable creatures that may have once lived but were sacrificed to the cause. The creature itself is but a larvae, but all seers come near it will find themselves overwhelmed by visions of glowing red eyes and inky darkness blotting out the sun.
The Herald itself is housed in an enormous magitechnological facility housed within the Outlands. The Facility’s construction is warped and alien, its creators likely of the deepest reaches of the Outland. The Facility itself is shaped as an enormous pentagram, with the creature itself at the core.
With all that said, the creature itself is yet unborn, it has no consciousness, no memories, and as far as can be discerned, no inborn drive or even desire to bring about the end. It is without a doubt enormously dangerous, its death would surely strike a blow to the forces of Nightfall. On the other hand, it is without a doubt still but a child. Does it deserve death simply for existence? That is a question Daybreak is going to need to answer for itself - and fast.
This log is open to all characters and will be going up on the 13th. If you wish, you may use the threads below to sign-up together for a group. Groups are limited to no more than 4 characters, and are encouraged but not required to have support from at least 1 Faculty or TA. If you wish to form a team, place a top-level in the sign-up thread. You may designate additional players if you have already OOCly planned your team elsewhere, but those members will still need to reply to your top-level to sign up for the thread. If your team is open or semi-open, please specify in the thread. You may also submit to randomization by specifying it in your top-level. Please use the below form to sign-up for this event if you want to form a team.
If you wish to be randomized, use the form but only indicate the Player and Character names and put "RANDOM" in your subject header.

Because clearly, letting the magical mad scientist make contact with the apocalyptic magical science experiment is the best plan.

Gilgamesh is a TA and thus can in theory lead a team. In practice his volatile nature means that any team he's "leading" will probably not make a huge amount of progress because the minute Gil sees something interesting he'll stop whatever he's doing to start taking it apart and see how it works and how it can be improved. Most of the time, someone level headed knocking him over the head and being like "oi stop it" will snap him out of his mad science trance and he'll reluctantly get back to what he was doing, but with something REALLY interesting (like, just as a random example, an unborn chimera of various blasphemous creatures with the potential to end the world.) he might be a little harder to deflect.
Ideally, I would like a team with Gil that has enough spoilsports to keep him more or less on task, but not SO many spoil sports that he doesn't get to do anything ridiculous.
My other two I have less of a word vomit for:
Kohaku, as always, will make an excellent scout, sniffing out danger before it comes, being vaguely sarcastic and slightly panicky, and acting weird because she is haunted by a ghost pirate. I can stick her with whoever wants her, or just randomize her.
Zagreus is an excellent frontline fighter who can take a beating and dish out as much damage as he takes. Plus he will take just about any supernatural weirdness in stride.
