NOVEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS

NOVEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS
IC Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation

Hello and welcome to November's Announcement post! This post will be short and sweet, since there isn't as much to report on this time around. Unlike the previous month, this post will only cover things going on through the remainder of November — and the reason for that will be outlined below.

IMPORTANT DATES

NOVEMBER 15 Cassandra & Faculty In-Service posts
NOVEMBER 15 - Game Announcements/Feedback
NOVEMBER 20 Mission: Grim Confrontation
NOVEMBER 24 Appreciating Fine Art
NOVEMBER 28 Test Drive Meme, CR Meme & AU Workshop Meme

For more in-depth information on what's coming up, check the game calendar here

GAME TIMELINE
Thanks to Echo's tireless efforts, we have made quite a bit of progress on the overall game timeline. Currently, this is meant to be a very brief synopsis of what has gone on in-game thus far, and will serve as a way for new players to be able to get a feel for what has been taken place, as well as a refresher for current players should they need it. This will be continually updated throughout the duration of the game. Please look forward to seeing more updates!

The game timeline should be going live soon. We'll be making a formal announcement when it debuts!

ANNOUNCEMENT POST SCHEDULE
When we posted our first Game Announcements post back in October, the mod team didn't take the timing of posts under full consideration. Since this post is meant to give news for a particular month, it makes more sense for it to go up toward the beginning of that month, instead of in the very middle. Because of that, we will be shifting our schedule, so that the Game Announcement post goes up on the first of the month, rather than the 15th. This means that your next Game Announcement post will be going up on December 1st. We know that this might be a little confusing, and apologize for that.

The Cassandra download post will still give everyone ample time to be able to plan ahead for future events for the coming month.

CONTINUED FEEDBACK & IMPROVEMENT IDEAS
Daybreak Academy has changed a few things in the past month and a half, and we want to know your thoughts. What's working, what isn't, and how can we improve? We invite everyone to leave their feedback over the past month in the comments here. In addition, we would love to hear from all of you about things that you might want to see in the game itself. We can't guarantee that we will be able to implement everything, but we want to make Daybreak Academy the best that it can be — for everyone!

I feel like forming teams at all for stuff like the herald log is what’s causing people to be hesitant to tag around. Making little strike teams is fine tactically, but like, it also makes you feel like you HAVE to do threads with four people in them and you CANT tag anyone else. Which I’m pretty sure isn’t actually the case. Doing threads with more than two people in them is by necessity way slower than normal, and not tagging around of course limits what you can do with the event.

I think if you just stopped worrying about teams altogether for big events like the heralds, they’d see a lot more activity in them. Just let people team up willy nilly.
