CASSANDRA UPLOAD - DECEMBER

CASSANDRA UPLOAD - DECEMBER
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation
All Seers are required to report to the Citadel on the 15th of every month to upload their visions into the system. Based on the visions of all contributing Seers, Cassandra will hone, refine and extrapolate to give as clear a prediction as possible of upcoming events. This is mandatory for every student blessed with the Sight and aware of their powers. The upload requires students to stand in a metal tube for about 15 minutes. Cookies and juice are provided after the upload. Students who attempt to shirk their duty will be recovered by the Golems. These students do not get cookies and juice.
A generous feast is laid out on a long dining table dimly lit by wax candles; the cloaked diners cannot be determined with their faces in shadow, but a few of them bring the unnerving feeling that they may have seen them before. A voice starts breaking down crying in the distance, reflected with the flickering of the flame. It is desperate, pleading, but goes ignored.
A pack of daemons dressed in oddly festive Santa-themed attire can be seen in what appears to be a bustling holiday mall. As the daemons emerge, they shout "Prepare for an END to the Holidays!", with a second daemon shouting "Because we’re going to end them! Right now!", perceiving, perhaps, that some clarification to the first daemon’s declaration was necessary. The people around them seem to be bewildered, with half of them clapping, thinking it’s entertainment. The vision does end, however, with the daemons flinging fire everywhere and screaming shoppers.
No other notable visions have broken through this month.
JANUARY EVENTS & MISSIONS
In Sheep's Clothing (January 1st)
A pro-Nightfall cult intending to sway more impressionable students to their side has finally decided to put their plan into action (and completely ruin New Years for a lot of people). A not-insignificant amount of students, fearing further danger and the fact that their fight may in fact all be for nothing (or they can no longer be protected), have fallen prey to these extended manipulations - tracking them down and convincing them to come home is the first priority.
This event is a player plot. The plotting post for this event is here.
Dawnbreaking Party (January 10th)
Though the last year has been one of difficulties and dangers, it has also been one of great heroism and victory. Daybreak has been an instrumental force in stopping two Heralds, among other threats, and in lieu of the traditional assembly, a party to celebrate the exceptional work of their students is being held. For some, this might be an opportunity to reflect proudly on their academic achievements; for others, it might be their accomplishments on more unusual and combative areas that they feel deserve praise.
No matter what, though, the Academy has made it clear that the students and faculty are people they are proud to have under their banner, and the nature of this party certainly reflects that. They offer the traditional lavish spread of food and drink, of course, but they’ve also prepared entertainment that includes giving the students the run of the local amusement park for the day.
Residual Christmas Cheer (January 24th)
Demons in full Christmas attire have been spotted terrorizing local shopping centers, apparently under the mistaken impression that they’re ‘ruining Christmas’. Thoroughly trounce them and give them a lesson that they might learn...though, on the other hand, they might just be back again for some other holiday. At least it’s a fairly straightforward problem?
If you have other player plot related visions, feel free to place them here. Players are welcome to use vision posts to tag and plot OOCly as to how they want to use them. These visions will occur between now and the next Cassandra Upload. Characters who share visions will be able to use Cassandra to combine them, giving them more clarity to what they see.
VISION PLANNING

VISION PLANNING
QUESTIONS
no subject
VISION DESCRIPTION: The vision is disjointed and unclear, almost staticky. The large, sickly pale full moon hangs in the background, as a large winged figure looms overhead. Someone appears to be fighting it, wielding a naginata and, occasionally, a device that might be familiar to some. The battle appears to be largely one-sided in favor of the winged creature, and as the human fighting it crouches suddenly, it unleashes one final, devastating blow as the vision comes to an abrupt end.
