WHO WANTS TO DIG UP ~*~SOME GARBAGE~*~
HEY FOLKS I'm back here again with another player plot but this time one that involves a bunch of other plot threads. I started polling around for this back in March, but now it's all official and everything!
So, essentially, this plot will start next month and run through two-three months, depending on the other people involved and what they'd like to do. It's roughly cut into three parts and begins with rumors of the existence of a dormant superweapon that could help turn the tide for or against Nightfall.
These three parts are:
- Ky (
bejustorbedead) returns to his 700-year-old haunts to dig up old remnants about his past and unearth more information about the superweapon's current whereabouts. Dragons (capitalisation important) are involved, so Emille (hatesdragons) will also be getting involved.- Ekkehardt takes a smaller group to House Gehring's base in the Outlands, to re-enact an ancient crossing ritual, pass into the Underworld, and speak to the fragment of Death he worships for more information about the superweapon in question, since nobody living is left to talk about it.
- Free for all to prevent more unscrupulous apocalypse-happy forces from getting to it, either through negotiation, stealth or force, and ends with either losing or gaining custody of aforementioned dormant superweapon, which may attract attention from, uh, Dragons. Depends what Emille's player wants to do with it.
This is the loosest part, mostly because if people want to throw in stuff from their own character's backstory or any plot hooks they might have, I am 100% on board. Antagonists, friendly faces, weirdly familiar backdrops? I'm good for anything. Feel free to use this plot as a springboard to hint at your own character's stuff!
WHAT I'D LIKE:
- Expressions of interest and planning!
- Signups! Ekkehardt will only be taking a small amount of people with him to the underworld. Some are already locked in due to prior planning (so like two people), but there's some space for more. I'll let people know when I feel like that's the limit. If you want to just hang out at Ekkehardt's house that's fine though, no limit on that.

but yeah he's loathe to let kids/teenagers actually Go To The Underworld because it is sort of a form of dying and he's like "hmm, that's, a bad idea to expose kids to" but she can absolutely hang out at his family home and see what the rest of his family are like (they're also weird)

And though Miach absolutely wants to go to the Underworld, she'll eventually settle for just getting the immediate report when everyone comes back.

it'd be real nice if I could use this somehow to introduce the hork bajir / yeerkesque daemons who are sort of like Sira in that they need host bodies... and nearly the entire hork bajir species is possessed! come help a bird free them on a later mission!!
(The reason why I'm so hung up on this is that in canon two of the hork bajir name their baby after Tobias and he helps raise her, it is adorable <3)
EXTRA PLOTTING?
Though I would imagine any group(s) involved with that purging with also be totally into any crazy superweapons too. For one reason or another. They just won't be too happy to know that Puella exists. ..Or maybe they would, since it means another shot at taking the Time Rift again, as a backup plan.
