Ballroom Blitz
The Walpurgisnacht Ball was thrown into chaos yet again, despite the best efforts of the host and hired guards to keep the Academy’s meddling hands out of things. Lord Carolmon zu Bechtel declined to comment on being unable to follow up with his bold promise to make the ball ‘free from interference’ and may have been spotted actively avoiding would-be reporters. Headmistress Duchene also declined to comment on Daybreak's role in the disruption, though she seemed strangely unperturbed about the whole affair.
Fog on the Moor
A little-known moor in England has been overtaken with an unnatural amount of fog, making it almost impossible to navigate. Those stationed to watch over the Veil in that region are considering relocating nearby human populations under the guise of a hazardous natural phenomenon, given the unusually high concentration of Mist beginning to emerge and the increasing possibility of Outlands entities appearing.
Circle Sign
A reoccurring symbol that resembles circles within circles has made appearances in several places - mostly near human habitation. Usually arranged from rocks, flower patterns, and other natural-looking phenomena, it’s theorized that this could be some kind of prank by bored mages or other inhabitants shielded by the Veil, much like more mundane crop circles. As it seems to have no harmful effects - magical or otherwise - it's being treated as low-priority for the moment.
Land in Darkness
Reports of Outlands creatures emerging from the effective dead zone created by the fight with Xelvak are starting to increase. Strangely enough, they seem to be taking up guarding positions outside of this dead zone, as if waiting for something to happen. While they aren’t hostile to being approached, there has been little to no success in communication as to what they want or their intent. Local consultants have noted that they bear some resemblance to figures from native oral traditions that originated in that area.
Activity within the dead zone has come to almost a complete halt, with cameras and recording equipment remaining untouched. Additionally, radiation levels have begun to decrease, though monitoring equipment shows that it seems to have been abruptly drained and drawn towards the center of the afflicted zone. Personnel are advised not to approach at this time, and keep an eye on the situation.
Radio Silence
The Tower of Adamant has left all communications unanswered for the last fortnight. Though this kind of reclusive silence isn’t unheard of, several local Seers have reported having increasing nightmares tied to the area the school is known to be located in. Three scout teams from local organisations have been dispatched to investigate, but in the event the unthinkable happens, they will turn to the Academy as the first point of contact.
