MISSION POST - OCTOBER

MISSION POST - OCTOBER
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation

The following events are available for the month of October.

Parent-Teacher Interviews (October 15th - In-Service)
With the Veil newly broken, there’s no better time to invite parents to have a slightly more honest talk about everything that’s been happening at Daybreak...or so the higher-ups say. For those who don’t have parents or parental figures, or those who have parents who already know and understand, this is just another day. For students who aren’t so fortunate - and for staff who have to weather all these questions - it’s going to be a long night.

All Hallows’ Eve (IC Date October 31st; OOC Date October 25th)
In the true spirit of Halloween traditions, where normal rules are reversed and many things are unbound, the Academy is opening its yearly Halloween celebrations to those who were once considered mundane and blinded by the Veil. While those people close to attending students have first priority, for many it will be their first colourful glimpse at the supernatural, so students and staff are encouraged to be on….slightly better behaviour. (Best behaviour is, as the Academy knows from long experience, a sadly unachievable ask.)

Faculty-run/Monthly Events
Mini-prompts that can be incorporated into catchall logs, or made into logs of their own. These prompts count for faculty log AC as long as at least one faculty member is responsible for starting the log, though they can also be joint logs.
Players are free to incorporate these prompts into their own logs, even if they are not faculty.

Pumpkin Carving
It’s the season again for pumpkins, and plenty of wonderful specimens have been supplied just in time to carve into your very own jack o’lanterns. Those in attendance at the Academy are encouraged to display their creative efforts around campus, as long as the places they decorate aren’t a safety hazard.

Interview with the Vampire(?)
In light of new developments, a BBC film crew has once again come to visit Daybreak Academy. Unlike the last one, however, they’ve foregone direct interviews for simply viewing daily life at the Academy, content to capture whatever happens on campus in the wild, so to speak - no disguises or subterfuge needed. While the order from higher-ups is to treat them with respect, you can probably get away with a little trickery, as long as you don’t get caught. Alternatively, you could humor their filming with a little show for the camera, which they’ll be an avid audience for.

Untitled Ghost Game
Some seers gain their clairvoyance by speaking to the dead, and budding necromancers often work with spirits, for the safety of students and staff alike, they generally summon the ghosts of animals - unfortunately, things can and do go wrong - such as the flock of incorporeal geese that’s now roaming the halls after breaking out of an improperly drawn circle.

With sage, sea salt, and holy spritz bottles, it’s up to volunteers to drive the still-drunk and ornery fowl spirits back to the beyond, though fair warning even animals can possess others if they find any opening.
