No One Controls Hades... No One At All. (Or, A Disgaea Player Plot)

Hey y'all, people of Daybreak Academy. Triad here with a player plot for those who are interested. No doubt you've heard Valvatorez and Emizel speak of Hades, a location in the Outlands that they both have called Home at some point? The place Daybreak made a Deal with about Emizel's enrollment in keeping Death King Hugo out of Nightfall if he was pleased with his son's growth?

Well, something on that end clearly has gone awry. Quite some time ago, Death King Hugo sent his son a cryptic message about the state of Hades as a whole. Curious, but frankly, difficult to decipher. Until now.

Turns out, something's very rotten in the Outland realm of Hades. Enough that a swarm of Prinnies will descend on Daybreak Academy, along with a handful of other daemons looking and pleading for Valvatorez's aid (and to a lesser extent Emizel's, because when he left home he was still a brat, but he is still Hugo's son) to liberate Hades from the tyranny of Death King Hugo, who has seemingly become cruel, merciless, and terrible. ...Y'know, more than he used to be. But is it really that simple? No. It's not. There's intrigue, a puppetmaster behind the curtain, shadows and ghosts of the past coming back to haunt humankind.

And that's where you all come in. This player plot has three parts: The initial show arrival of the daemons asking for help, which is just a normal, open Valvatorez post. The other two will contain Generic Battle Threads for common mooks that are open to anyone who wants to participate, and then Boss Battle threads with named characters. The mook fights will be against common daemons and monsters from Disgaea, and these threads can be quirky, weird, serious, and almost to the letter over the top. If you wanna do the most dumb anime fights you can think of, style on some mooks. I'll have pictures and links ready for example monsters and foes, and you can NPC them... basically however you want. Team up with partners! Or take them on yourself and ask for someone to play them for you. Whatever works.

As for bosses? The first is Death King Hugo himself, and the second is a more... elusive, mysterious figure. Expect both boss battles to be tough. Are you interested? I hope so!

If you are, please use this rough form to sign up for the boss battles you want your character to participate in. There'll be a thread for each one. When are the fights coming up? Well, the storyline itself will take place over two in-game days, but the logs will be split apart to allow time to thread in each.

Tentatively, we'll plan on December 9 for The Liberation of Hades, and December 27 for the second phase. Why the long split? Well, let's be real here. We're coming up on the holiday season, the Herald event is on the 20th, and the setup to get things moving onto the second phase may take more than a few days worth of threading. If this timeline does not work for people, let me know in the Questions/Concerns thread below, and if people want a date sooner than the 27th, we can push up the second phase to December 15th, but I would ideally prefer not to rush either thread.

There's no obligation or signup needed for styling on mooks for threads.

Player Name:
Character Name:
Threat Level: (Minor or Major, like the Herald fight signups. Minor being mild injuries, mostly unscathed, major being more serious and possibly requiring medical treatment)
What Do You Want Outta This?: (Detail injuries you have in mind and the cool stuff you'd like to do against a powerful foe)

Thank you! And I hope you enjoy this player plot.

Player Name: Ruka
Character Name: Ekkehardt
Threat Level: Major. Kick his ass, it's post-Herald. Merry christmas!!!
What Do You Want Outta This?: He will probably limp away with more than a few broken bones and feeling pretty sore! Maybe some magical scarring too, that might be cool. Mostly I want Ekkehardt to actually look cool for once and that means being able to pull out most of his assassin tricks, so do with that what you will.
