Planning Post - A British (Spy) Invasion.
Okay kids, who wants to punch spies?
At some point (probably next month unless a lot of things are happening there), Daybreak is going to get a visit from a group: the British Men of Letters (Wikia)
The short version is British Spies that fight monsters for Queen and Country. Also known as: A bunch of wankers. They are not Daybreak's friends, because the Men of Letters have taken a zero tolerance stance on non-humans. In that they find killing anyone that isn't human a really good idea.
Seers will find the days around the attack really goddamn unnerving as there are no visions of the school for those three days.
They're breaking in to rob the school of anything of academic value: new tech made in the forge, exotic unusual artifacts, old dusty books written in languages nobody speaks anymore. They are not trying to kill anyone (but if you're a monster and in their way and they have the time they will try to kill you). They are on a schedule, so they won't extend a fight past what they have to do. They will mostly be focusing on the school buildings, and not the dorms (in case you want nothing to do with this plot).
After all this breaking into the school, stealing of things, possibly kidnapping students if anyone wants that. There will be a mission to go break into their HQ and see how they like it (and also steal stuff, of course).
I'll be putting in a few specific sign-ups for this event, but the major event will be Open to all.
NPC Duty: If anyone wants to help play British Dudes with fancy spy toys in threads. Ever wanted to play James Bond but he's even more of an asshole, this is your chance! (This is a Player sign-up, not a character sign up.)
Specific stuff getting Taken: Does your character own an ancient tome with dark secrets, or have they made a fancy new runework electric toothbrush? List out what you wanna have stolen.
I've been Captured: The British Men of Letters might try to take anyone who has an 'interesting' ability so they can- you know, study it. Especially if they think it can be weaponized, they do love making new toys.
Stealing our stuff Back: After their big throwdown in the school, of course, a collection of students with at least one adult supervising, have to go to England and Metal Gear Solid all up in this bitch. This is a mission meant more for Stealth not raw power. The British Men of Letters HQ is well fortified so it's best not to Leroy Jenkins this one.
Depending on interest it'll be either 1 team of up to 6, or 2 teams of up to 5 (+ Control Room folks, if there is interest).
...And Maya is one of the slots on the Stealth Mission because Stealth Mission.
...
You can use this post to plot among yourself for cool spy fights and being rescued from certain death, all that.

Stuff to Steal

If they got their hands on that Isabel would be VERY angry and go on the warpath.

Look, they can't all be winners, and Val wants it back because he likes it.

i mean what
gon's just a werebear he's not Cool enough for thisMore ahem, clearly; Reira if studied closely has had all magical potential (of unknown origin) drained. It's the likely reason her flame came in the way it did- but what's interesting about her is...That flame. Aside from the empathy, she's extremely easy to possess- and whatever possesses her, gets their magic boosted.
So that might be neat.
weaponizable, rather,EDIT: ok so Gon's cool for his own reasons, so just give me a good ol' coin flip if we get too much going on here
/SLAPS THIS DOWN
When the rescue comes she might be able to help the other subjects break out depending on whether they know about Tsubaki or not and how subdued she is.
But this would be so fun to play with!
Mission - Steal our Stuff Back
1-2 staff. Second will be on reserve in case of a large group.
4-7 (+ Maya) students.
Make a note if your character is in a control room slot instead of on the infiltration team.

Because Jail is absolutely up to steal literally everything from these people that isn't nailed down or on fire.
...and then come back with an extinguisher and a crowbar for round two.
