A Midsummer Night's Dream/The Gathering
This is going up a bit later than I intended because of writer's block, but it's time for David to learn to swallow his pride and ask for help.
OnJuly August 9th, his wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy. This would be fine and non-disruptive normally, seeing as it's happening during summer break, but...unfortunately, there's some complications. See, it turns out he's married a half-faerie, the daughter of Queen Titania...just in time for Oberon to demand that all the fae that originate from his kingdom return to the Outlands. As her daughter's magic has suffered from being raised human, Titania wants this Gathering to include her grandson.
Obviously, David isn't okay with this, but he's in no position to fight off a faerie king alone, especially with a spell cast over the blocks surrounding his home to put everyone within to sleep. People with no magic resistance who approach start to doze off, meaning emergency crews can't reach the sites of accidents, where minutes can mean the difference between life and death.
Fortunately, the school will have 24 hours advance notice as Oberon gives the new parents time to properly say goodbye to their son. This mission will thus be split into three parts: preparation, damage control, and dealing with Oberon. The first will be gathering forces and coming up with ways to protect the castle from Oberon while minimizing collateral damage (and damage to the veil, for those who care, as Oberon won't be broadcasting his intent to use the sleep spell). The second will be for reacting to the use of the sleep spell, and trying to minimize casualties from people in a busy city suddenly passing out where they stand or sit. The third...well, how that shakes out depends on you guys, be it via diplomacy or via proving that Oberon's ego is, in fact, larger than his power.
Ultimately, David's son will be saved, one way or another, and Xanatos Enterprises will pull a few press strings to have the whole thing written off as the result of a severe gas leak. Some people may be skeptical, but...c'mon, it's New York. The conspiracy theories will get columns in the paper right alongside the stories about alligators in the sewers.
As this isn't an official mission, but rather answering an urgent distress call, there won't be official teams or faculty leaders. Instead, groupings can be discussed here and ICly formed and dissolved on the fly, to reflect the hectic situation. After all, this is supposed to be a vacation...
ETA: Pushing this back a bit to give more breathing room after the Herald.

Giving her the baby and telling them to hide in the castle will definitely annoy Oberon for some amount of time.
Plus, bonus, it gives her a chance to hear more magic and have various new characters find out about her powers to exploit later.

Otherwise he's a little magical powerhouse, so point him in the right direction and he'll try to do his best. He might also distract Oberon with being the way he is, so it's an unintentional bonus!

BUT
Josuke here is newer to the game and hasn't really done anything cool yet. He's a hothead who's physical body is pretty frail (at least compared to most of the monsters and stuff around here.), but even so I wanna do some shit with him.
Things Josuke DOES bring to the table:
- Powerful healing abilities
- Powerful short range offensive power
- Expertise in taking down smug assholes who don't think they can possibly be beaten through dangerous clever plans

I'm pretty sure even Oberon would have at least a little pause before trying to take on a goddess. Not to say he wouldn't do it, but Ammy's pretty powerful.
She could also help with the aftermath by using Rejuvenation on broken stuff.
Mind you, she will be a bit freaked by David's suit and the Steel Clan. Yami left a big impact on her.
