DANCE PLANNING

DANCE PLANNING
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation

This post is for the members of the Student Council to discuss, OOCly, the plans for the dance. The dance itself will take place October 31st (with the 1st of November being an in-service day with no classes so students can recover) and will be Halloween themed, but is otherwise up to the Student Council to plan.

We ask that the planning be finished and whatever details the student council wishes to include be submitted no later than midnight the morning of October 16th (Eastern Standard Time). Any details not filled in by the council will be filled in by the mods.

The Student Council is free to make an IC discussion post as well if desired; this post is simply for hashing out the plans for the event.

Perhaps the contest has two brackets. One for mundane costumes, one for magic costumes.

True that!

Question is how we organize this on an OOC level. Toplevels for the contests and people describe/link their costumes below it seems easy enough, but deciding the victor....

We could set a deadline for submissions and just full RNG or we could go with votes, which'd take longer....

(Ignore wrong journal) we could also just decide the winners ourselves as the student council. There’s what, six of us? Much easier to tally six votes than a whole game’s worth.

We could do... student council members vote, and maybe like, appoint one student and one teacher PC judge?

That sounds neat!! We can have the student council recruit for extra judges on the Network, a little before the actual party?

And then the schedule would be smth like.... First 24 hours after event gets posted is for sign-up to the contest, the next 24 hours the judge characters cast votes? As to not drag it out too long so people can actually play their victory and defeat.
