MISSION POST - DECEMBER

MISSION POST - DECEMBER
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation

The following events are available for the month of December.

Since there are several player plots ongoing, there are no missions this month.

Release the Hounds (December 6th)
After a spate of kidnappings and disappearances, Daybreak has managed to track down the forces responsible. The Academy has made a near-unanimous decision to attack the Galran base of operations in order to rescue any remaining innocents and to attempt to decisively crush a faction that will seemingly only become more aggressive as Nightfall draws closer.
This event is part of a player plot. The plotting post for this event is here.

Gift Delivery (December 7th, all month)
Students will have the opportunity to take part in the gift-giving courier service this Holiday season. Couriers are paid positions and can expect quite a few hours over the course of the holiday wrapping and delivering gifts to the requestors specifications across campus. These deliveries can even come with special instructions such as a special song or dance, or even a warm hug-by-proxy. It’s not uncommon for some of the students less sympathetic to the plight of the working student to include outlandish and otherwise ridiculous additions to their requests (often paired with rather heavy and unwieldy gifts, of course), but a courier always sees to their duty with grace and a smile!

Golf carts provided for all couriers.

Clocktowers Beneath The Sea (mid-December, open event)
One of the students in Aube has accidentally opened a rift to a strange, abandoned world that exists in a state of limbo between the Outlands and Earth. Called the World of Dreams, it makes a visitor’s memories vividly real...perhaps a little too much.
This event is part of a player plot. The plotting post for this event is here.

Krampus Hunting (December 18th, open event)
In one of the time-honored Daybreak traditions, Faculty and TAs who owe favors or drew the short straw will don Krampus costumes, load up sacks of gifts, and scatter across campus with hundreds of festively-dressed weapon-wielding students in hot pursuit. The rules are simple: wrest a gift from Krampus, and it is yours to keep. And given that the gifts themselves are often quite nice and valuable, many students are keen to partake in this tradition. Killing and maiming is strictly forbidden, and that goes for students and Krampuses both.

Chasing the Sun (December 21st, open event)
Cassandra’s visions were focused on a particular white boar - while it does not seem to involve the academy directly, there is a terrible sense of foreboding in the visions, especially as someone narrowed down the timing to the Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year. Given this chase is located right in one of the key locations the Wild Hunt ran through months before, the Academy is taking no chances, and is having every volunteer comb through the woods to investigate, and - if needed - to intercede. It’s clear that whatever is happening, the boar must not die this night.

But there’s a warped strangeness in the air that is enhanced by the long darkness, and both those out in the field and those safely at the Academy will find that they’re being paid visits by the strange ghosts and regrets of their pasts...

Faculty-run Events

In adherence to how busy this month is, there are no provided faculty prompts for this month.
