Welcome to the Pre-Game AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.

Not sure where to start? Feel free to look through the Premise and FAQ for notes on what the game is about, and what to expect. We also encourage you to take a look at our information for in-setting Powers and Secret Societies to help flesh out your character's backstory.

That sounds like something Alisaie might have done? or has yet to do at the point I had to stop; my memory isn't perfect and I haven't been able to play FFXIV for probably close to two years now and I miss it. (I had to stop in the middle of 3.4 but I was caught up to the MSQ at the time).

i was indeed describing what alisaie did lmfao. the ic reasoning they gave was that, i just simplified a little, but i tend to think they just didn't want to spoil how rdm worked a few patches before sb came.

That makes sense, since they sure have been keeping the identity of the new playable race close to their chest despite the fact that literally no one doesn't see it coming.

but yes, what can rhun help ein with aside from learning how to do magic with a flames sword?

not sure if you've read his AU writeup yet but because he was made by mages that intended for him to be more weapon than person he's uh... kind of bad at understanding normal people

poor kid-- though at least this one mage isn't interested in using him?! rhun could also have heard rumors of him, but no concrete details, idk

It does make sense that there could be rumors flying about. Maybe I can spin that into having him just be known as the Grim Angel in those hushed whispers and only a select few have any idea who he really is.
