Welcome to the Pre-Game AU Planning Meme for Daybreak Academy! This post is intended to help prospective players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go, as well as work together with other players to plan future CR, build Secret Societies and Clubs, and generally determine where they want to start their characters, and where they want them to go. In addition to posting up the form, you are encouraged to tag around to other people's forms and discuss potential CR and plans with them. This post is an open forum for all prospective players to hash out interesting ideas for their characters ahead of joining the game.

Not sure where to start? Feel free to look through the Premise and FAQ for notes on what the game is about, and what to expect. We also encourage you to take a look at our information for in-setting Powers and Secret Societies to help flesh out your character's backstory.

EDIT: OTHER PRE-CR HOOKS

- Other mage families familiar with the Sakaki name/the way his father destroyed the whole lineage ditching their society.
- Daemons or Hunters familiar with Zarc, possibly even involved in finally taking him down 14 years ago.

- Not totally normal even by these standards. Zarc was a powerful Daemon who was overpowered by somethi g (hunters, other outlands creatures, this is flexible if someone wants to be part of the killing team). He slipped away just before he could be killed, but was still dying. He hopped inside recent-born Yuya's body, thinking an infant would be an easy vessel to forcibly take over in his weakened state. That didn't totally go according to plan, and while he survived his spirit kinda merged with the human soul while consuming it. This tempered his violent nature but also left him amnesiac.

Yuya doesn't actively remember the life of being a daemon right now, but sometimes gets glimpses of memories in his dreams that he writes off as just his imagination.

I'm down for setting up instances if people having known Zarc the Daemon, since his fall was only 14 years ago. He was ruthless and violent and didn't regard even other daemons as hos equal while he pursued more and more power and destruction. He subjugated spirits from the outlands more than humans that he usually just killed.

He probably has a similarly tragic backstory of having once been curious and grown closer to humanity, before some sort of betrayal that drove him to go hard on the daemon nature out of pain and then it was too late to not be an asshole.

The energy thing might just be low key access to his daemon powers which he still sucks at using. He's not aware of the origin but other characters can def notice/pick up on it.
