Unchain Your Hearts
Akechi has been settling in nicely, and is about to be done with his pre-finals cramming and related exhaustion, so it's about time he got to his real reason for being here. Starting during spring break, he's going to be skulking around campus and using the power of his daemonic contract to temporarily remove all forms of restraint from random people. This includes everything from adherence to rules, to morality, to even simple self-preservation. Affected characters will act purely on their deepest, most buried desires.
This plot is fairly open to interpretation, but as the power itself can be a bit confusing and there's other things at work here, I'll try to answer questions as best I can.
As a side note: if your character has been to Tokyo in the past two years, they might recognize this as similar to the epidemic of 'rampage incidents' that have been going around the city.
Does my character have to do something bad?
Not necessarily! This power draws out a character's Id, which is essentially raw, unfiltered desire. If the things they want to do from the bottom of their heart but normally never would are harmless, they're not going to suddenly gain a violent streak or anything like that.
How long does this last?
Up to you, although a general rule of thumb is to remember that this isn't a long-term power. It should last long enough for their unchained actions to be meaningful, but end quickly enough to be seen as an episode of strange behavior rather than a shift in personality.
I meant the plot.
That is...also up to you! Well, partly. Akechi has been given a year to accomplish his objective, so the longer this goes without him either succeeding or getting caught, the more aggressive and reckless he's likely to be. That said, this is meant to be a slow burn plot to give people plenty of opportunity to play with it without a dozen different incidents competing for attention, so please don't have your seer/mind reader/genius trace the incidents back to him right away.
Are there any side effects?
There might be! It's not uncommon for victims of this power to have trouble remembering what happened while under its influence. This can be anywhere from finding themselves a little fuzzy on the details to drawing a complete blank, with the only guaranteed thing being that they won't be able to recall why they decided to act the way they did. Generally speaking, the better a character is at resisting mental effects, the more awareness they'll retain.
Could my character be immune?
Entirely possible! If a character has a specific resistance to mental influence, the ability might fail. Contact with orichalcum would also suppress the effect, even if it's applied after the spell is cast. Likewise, characters who have no sense of restraint and act on all of their desires anyway, you know who you are, might find there's no difference beyond a slight haze and an inability to even remember the societal restrictions they were already ignoring.
I have another question.
I'll be opening up questions in the comments, so ask at your leisure.

That's gonna change.
I'll probably hold on doing this one for a little bit, at least until after kid plot and maybe after a few others have had their go too, but I definitely will be throwing Héctor into this.
Maybe it'll seem like he's just in a good mood. By all means, he won't be quite the whirlwind some others are, no murder or freakouts. In fact, he seems to be doing okay! He sings everywhere he goes! (Maybe playing too!) He hugs every friend he runs into! He's gonna kiss his wife! He'll also just take any old thing lying around that he thinks he needs at the time without asking, but that's fine right? (If you want something casually stolen at this time, here's your chance.)
Then the crazy string comes out, and by crazy string I mean-
He's going to make a plan. He's going to be making multiple plans. Not yet having fully brainstormed the most likely thing is that he's going to plan to steal a plane (Not just any plane. One of the Acadamey's planes.) and definitely steal a car. He'll at least create an elaborate scheme to sneak onto a plane if he can rope others into helping him. He'll totally use every one of you and lie to your face doing it. If you want in on that kind of thing, whether actively helping, being manipulated into it, or trying to stop him, lets plan this business.
Finally, he's going to be way, way, way too casual about his skeletonism on the flip-side. Just constantly switching to bones and (hopefully) being reminded that he's hiding for a reason. Probably pushing his time far too long in the day. Maybe possibly ending up in a morgue. Anyone want to break him out of a morgue? Weekend at Bernie's? There's all sorts of antics we can get up to. I basically want this to turn out as ridiculously convoluted as possible. There is no plan too stupid.

(He dropped whatever illusions he was using to take a skeleton picture when he thought nobody was looking and was very wrong.)
